Intradco Global shows ‘pigs can fly’ with delivery to China

Intradco Global has successfully flown three planeloads of breeding pigs from Europe to China.

The animals were flown on three of Intradco Global’s Ilyushin Il-76TD-90VD aircraft, which feature custom-built crates and watering systems.

The pigs flew from London’s Stansted airport to Denmark for a full inspection and quarantine before continuing their journey to Jiangsu in China.

“The pigs arrived safely and in good condition, ready to begin the breeding programme,” a spokesperson at Intradco Global said.

Breed types of the pigs included Duroc, Landrace and Yorkshire nucleus herds.

UK-based Intradco Global is a Chapman Freeborn company and a member of Avia Solutions Group. The company specialises in animal transportation and has experience in equine shipments, livestock and farming, and moving exotic species.
