Azul offers free Covid-19 vaccine flights in Brazil

Brazilian carrier Azul Linhas Aéreas is offering Brazilian authorities the free transportation of Covid-19 vaccines across the country using its existing flight network.

Azul and Azul Cargo Express offer coverage to 113 cities throughout Brazil utilising Embraer, Airbus, ATR and Cessna aircraft.

Azul president John Rodgerson said: “Azul has been serving Brazil with great dedication for the past 12 years, bringing essential air services to more than 100 cities.

“Now, we are ready to do our part and support the country in the challenging and complex mission of distributing vaccines throughout the national territory. Through Azul Cargo Express operations, we have the unique ability to transport vaccines safely and efficiently to cities and communities across the country.

“We are making free cargo spaces available on our regular route network for any government official in Brazil. We know the importance of this mission and we want to encourage all logistics and transportation companies in Brazil to do the same.”
