Mumbai CSC achieves India CEIV pharma first

Mumbai CSC Pharma Excellence Centre has become the first air cargo handler in India to be awarded IATA CEIV Pharma Certification.

The handler said that it had also been certified as meeting European Good Distribution Practice standards.

Tushar Jani, chairman of CSC group, said: “These are the most timely accreditation received by Mumbai CSC Cold Chain Solution for the movement of life science products and especially the need of the hour for the Covid-19 vaccine.

“Mumbai CSC Pharma Excellence Centre is already handling a considerable quantity of polio vaccines every month, which are being exported from India to various parts of the world. The vast knowledge and experience along with modern infrastructure, will come very useful for supply chain of Covid-19 vaccine to the world by India.”

The facility features temperature-controlled storage areas for pharmaceuticals with different temperature zones, mainly +15 to +25 and +2 to +8 degrees Celsius which are electronically monitored.
