BIFA announces award winners

Simarco Worldwide Logistics scooped the Air Cargo Services Award at the BIFA Freight Services Awards.

The freight forwarder organisation said that despite a year beset by multiple operational difficulties and uncertainties, there were many outstanding entries in its annual awards.

This year, winners were announced via a series of online video presentations.

Ocean Services Award: Atlantic Pacific Global Logistics

Project Forwarding: DB Schenker

Specialist Services: NNR Global Logistics

Supply Chain Management: B&H Worldwide 

Cool & Special Cargoes: Gist

Extra Mile Award: United Worldwide Logistics 

Staff Development: Morrison Freight 

Apprentice of the Year: Ryan Wilkes from Kuehne + Nagel

Young Freight Forwarder: Katy Hopkinson from Kuehne + Nagel 

BIFA director general Robert Keen said: “BIFA has been delighted with the range of entries received to the BIFA Freight Service Awards 2020 from BIFA Members that managed to take the time to document their achievements while continuing to manage their businesses through incredibly trying times, which is a testament to their tenacity.”
