CharterSync appoints Jones into sales team

Digital air cargo charter platform CharterSync has appointed Rudi Jones into the role of charter sales manager.

Jones, who has more than 15 years of experience in the industry, previously held positions at aircraft charter broker Chapman Freeborn and ground handling firm Servisair.

In his new role, he will be responsible for developing and implementing the strategic sales plan, maximising new business opportunities and developing new relationships with freight forwarders and airline operators.

Ed Gillett, co-founder and director of CharterSync, said: “Rudi’s appointment is a confident step forward in the strategic vision for CharterSync. Combining his wealth of experience with our innovative technology will result in the perfect harmony of automation and personalised service, giving an unparalleled level of support to our clients.

“As well as this year’s demand from the pharmaceutical, energy and automotive sectors, we have recently seen a sharp increase in demand for AOG [aircraft on the ground] product in the last two months.

“Recently, the majority of AOG spare-part flights have been for stranded cargo aircraft, but with fewer connecting flights and schedules now available, stranded commercial flights are also increasingly reliant on our platform to access the parts they need quickly and efficiently.

“We’ve seen this spike in the last two weeks and anticipate this will be a growth area as international travel restrictions are gradually lifted.”
