Asia Airfreight Terminal receives IATA CEIV Fresh certification

Asia Airfreight Terminal is an air cargo terminal based at Hong Kong International Airport

Hong Kong-based Asia Airfreight Terminal has received IATA CEIV Fresh certification.

The certification confirms the terminal’s capability to handle temperature-sensitive perishable goods to IATA’s globally recognised standard.

The company said it is investing in cold chain facilities that will support its CEIV Fresh, CEIV Pharma and WHO Good Distribution Practice (GDP) certifications.

“These new facilities are specifically designed to ensure unbroken temperature control for cargo, from export acceptance to ramp release, and from the receipt of imports at the ramp to cargo delivery” the company said in a statement. “These new facility upgrades will be ready to serve the industry by 2022.”
