SF Airlines’ fleet hits 69

Rapidly expanding express carrier SF Airlines recently added its 69th freighter aircraft.

The China-based airline in February took delivery of a B767-300 freighter and said that its fleet size will hit 70 later in the year.

“The number of large all-cargo aircraft with medium and long-range navigation capabilities will continue to grow, and its operational strength will reach a new level,” the airline said.

“SF Airlines will continue to build safe, efficient and stable aviation logistics services with fleet construction as the fulcrum.”

Last year the airline added a total of seven freighters to its fleet.

Meanwhile, SF Airlines also began to establish an operational base at Chengdu Shuangliu International Airport.

The airport will become the carrier’s fourth regional international aviation hub, joining Beijing, Hangzhou and Shenzhen.

The airline is also jointly developing a huge 2.4m tonne capacity cargo airport in Ezhou, which will connect its regional and international services covering Asia Pacific, Europe and the US.

The Shenzhen-headquartered airline is a branch of Chinese express delivery firm SF Express and is the largest operator of all-cargo aircraft in China.
