JAL Cargo joins cargo.one portal

Japan Airlines Cargo (JAL Cargo) will place its capacity on online booking portal cargo.one as it looks to expand its reach.
The agreement means that freight forwarders will be able to search, book, amend and track the carrier’s capacity in real-time.
The addition of JAL Cargo comes just after cargo.one began offering its booking portal to forwarders in the country.
The roll our of JAL Cargo capacity will begin with European countries in the coming weeks, the company said.
Moritz Claussen, co-chief executive of cargo.one, said: “The partnership will further strengthen our leading position in the Asia Pacific region and deliver a unique and high quality digital offering to freight forwarders around the globe.”
“Air cargo volumes into Japan are globally significant, with Tokyo’s airports consistently performing within the world’s top air cargo hubs by freight tonnes,” the company explained in a press release, adding that Jal Cargo delivered more than 740,000 tonnes of cargo in 2021.
