Cathay Cargo has announced changes to its management team that will see leaders taking on new roles within the Group and Cathay Cargo over the summer.

Tom Owen, director cargo, said that the changes will “further strengthen our cargo business and maintain the momentum in our goal to become the world’s most customer-centric air cargo service brand”.

George Edmunds, currently the general manager cargo commercial, will assume the position of chief executive at Hong Kong Aero Engine Services Limited.

Said Owen: “George has made significant contributions to our cargo business, and we are confident that his leadership and expertise will be invaluable in his new role.”

James Evans, a seasoned leader with extensive experience across the Cathay Group, and currently the general manager of employee experience, will be taking over Edmunds’ responsibilities as general manager cargo commercial.

Frosti Lau, general manager cargo service delivery, will be transitioning to the role of regional general manager southwest Pacific, based in Sydney.

Owen said that Lau’s “dedication and focus on safety and operational excellence have been instrumental in delivering outstanding service to our customers during his productive tenure at cargo”.

Added Owen: “Tim’s strategic mindset and deep understanding of our business will contribute to further enhancing our service delivery capabilities, so critical to our brand reputation and customer experience.”
