Avianca Cargo appoints VP for corporate development

Avianca Cargo has appointed Diogo Elias as the new vice president of corporate development.

In his new role, Elias will lead strategic projects and continue driving the ongoing transformation of the company. 

He has more than 20 years of experience in commercial, operational and new business roles in air cargo, as well as other industries.

Avianca Cargo chief executive Gabriel Oliva said: “With his wide experience in the sector, Diogo comes to reinforce Avianca Cargo’s transformation journey towards growth and strengthened leadership in the region, focused on adding value to our customers. I am sure that together we will continue delivering fantastic results.”

Elias, who has a master’s degree in Business, Operations Management, and Statistical Modeling from the University of São Paulo and an MBA from the University of Michigan, will take up his new post in June.
