Freight forwarder Europa Air & Sea has opened an office in Delhi as it expands into the Indian subcontinent for the first time.

The new office is led by general manager Nathan Lynn, as well as five others, including sales manager Sumit Pruthi, and is in the process of recruiting further team members.

Europa said it has the ambition to triple the team size by the end of 2023.

Angus Hind, director of Europa Air & Sea, said: “Delhi is another strategic step in our growth plans. The country’s continued economic growth and increased investment in infrastructure has led to an increased demand for manufacturing in the region.”

The UK company also has offices in Hong Kong, Shanghai and Dubai. It is also in the process of adding a presence in Shenzhen.

Lynn previously headed up the Dubai operation.

“Nathan has demonstrated, with the success of Dubai, that our approach works and with Sumit and the team alongside him, we are thrilled to be promoting our global forwarding solutions to this market,” added Hind.

“There is growing demand for businesses everywhere to have high-quality forwarding options at a fair price, and air and sea freight is no exception. Therefore, having the expertise of a global logistics provider with operations running locally, we can provide the best service for our local customers.”
