Envirotainer achieves 500th QEP accredited station

Kuehne+Nagel (K+N) in Amsterdam has become the 500th participating station in the Qualified Envirotainer Provider Training and Quality Programme (QEP).
Coolchain container company Envirotainer launched the QEP programme eight years ago as a way to recognise its partner airlines, logistics providers, and integrators that are capable of properly managing Envirotainer container shipments.
Periodic training is one of the important requirements for QEP accreditation.
With the addition of Amsterdam, Madrid, Rome and Zurich, K+N now operates 58 QEP stations within the current certified global KN PharmaChain network of 69 airfreight stations.
Chris Fore, compliance manager at Envirotainer, said: “The QEP programme and its participants serve to ensure the quality of life of the patient. QEP is both a benchmark and a means by which we engage our partners to provide consistent service.”
Jon Chapman, global pharma product manager at K+N, said: “K+N is proud to be part of the QEP program and to receive the landmark 500th certificate.
“QEP ensures that our global operation handles Envirotainer containers accurately and correctly and is able to correctly intervene in the event of an in-transit issue.”
