Jettainer’s quality seal for ULD repair partners

Jettainer has introduced a quality seal for ULD repair partners that it hopes will reassure customers that its outsourced repair shops conform to high standards.
The Lufthansa-owned outsourced ULD management company, has developed its own quality seal for companies repairing airfreight pallets and containers.
As a result, Jettainer is creating unified guidelines for servicing and maintaining ULDs for its international customers.
The first “certified repair partner”, Deufol Airport Services, received the award at the Air Cargo Europe exhibition in Munich.
Repair companies, which adhere to Jettainer’s quality guidelines, will receive the newly created seal after completing an audit.
Jettainer, which believes outsourcing repair activities increases its flexibility and ability to move with customers, said this would allow it to create unified quality standards around the globe.
The company told Air Cargo News it hoped that one day all of its repair shop partners would achieve the certification.
“The seal offers our customers the degree of dependability that all the repair companies can meet the highest quality standards. This enables us to create a unique, reliable and flexible repair network,” says Don Jacobs, sales director at Jettainer.
Frankfurt based-based Deufol has its headquarters at JettHub, Jettainer’s logistics center at Frankfurt Airport.
Deufol said it hoped the certification would help it win new business outside of Jettainer.
The aviation technology company handles a variety of servicing and repair jobs for Jettainer’s pallets and containers as a certified partner.
Jettainer manages a fleet of more than 85,000 ULDs for 16 airlines and currently operates at more than 450 airports around the world.
