Pilot opens down Mexico way

North American transport firm Pilot Freight Services has opened a station in Mexico City. Its first location under a new Pilot de Mexico brand, it will offer warehousing and logistics services, including domestic ground and air transport.
It is the first stage of a planned expansion in the country, with additional stations expected to open in the months and years ahead. Chief executive, Richard Phillips, pointed out: "For Pilot,
Mexico is a market with tremendous growth and potential. Its economy is the 11th largest in the world. The country has been one of the US’s best trading partners for years, and to have a Pilot presence will make our relationships with Pilot customers in Mexico stronger.”
Pilot de Mexico will be managed by 17-year forwarding industry veteran Alberto Ocha.
