American hits the highs in April

American Airlines flew a total of 202,473 cargo ton-miles in April, up by 5.5% on the same month of last year.
The carrier flew 745,889 cargo ton-miles over the first four months of this year, just a marginal 0.1% increase on the same period of 2015.
American Airlines made cargo-related revenue of $162m in the first quarter of this year, compared with $194m last year. April represents quite an improvement on the first three months of this year, therefore.
