CSafe expands European footprint with Kalibox acquisition

CSafe Global, which provides temperature-controlled containers for pharma and medical products, has acquired its first manufacturing capacity in Europe.
It has bought Kalibox, a France-based provider of cold chain packaging.
Kalibox’s two production centres in France will continue CSafe’s global expansion plans by adding over 5,000 sq m of manufacturing capacity to its current six North American locations that total over 20,000 sq m.
Kalibox, founded in 2001, manufactures temperature-controlled packaging including insulated shippers, patented design insulated pallet shippers and refrigerants. Due to its accredited testing laboratory, Kalibox has developed certificated passive solutions.
Brian Kohr, president and chief executive of CSafe, stated: “The acquisition of Kalibox is an important milestone for CSafe as we work hard to be able to continue to support our global customers with the right solutions for their cold chain shipments.”
