Air Canada adds more freighter flights

Air Canada is adding a second weekly freighter to its Canada, US and South America schedule. The new rotation operates on Sundays between Toronto, Atlanta, Bogota, Lima and Toronto, in addition to the existing Friday service.
The expansion follows a commercial agreement signed in April with Cargojet Airways to operate the first direct scheduled freighter service between Canada and Latin America, using one of the latter’s Boeing 767-300ER freighters.
Air Canada has also added a 767ER freighter service on Mondays and Saturdays between Toronto and Dallas-Fort Worth.
On signing the Cargojet deal, Air Canada Cargo also said it planned to introduce a dedicated freighter service to Europe from Toronto in the second half of 2016.
Last week, Air Canada announced it would add six new destinations to its passenger network.
