Nielen joins Cargolux as VP sales from IAG Cargo

Chris Nielen has joined European freighter airline Cargolux as vice president sales, joining from IAG Cargo where he held the position of regional commercial manager Europe.
Nielen has 16 years experience in the airfreight business which "have enabled him to build a solid knowledge base about the airfreight market especially in the sales and marketing area" said the carrier in a statement.
Niek van der Weide, Cargolux executive vice president sales & marketing, said: “We are very pleased to welcome Chris in our sales team. He is a young dynamic, and extremely sales-focused person with excellent contact with the major customers and industry players.
"His outgoing personality and vast knowledge of the industry will undoubtedly help Cargolux to further expand and strengthen the relationships with our worldwide clients.”
Nielen took over his position on October 3 and will be based in Luxembourg.
