A Northern route from Miami to the Caribbean

US freighter airline Northern Air Cargo (NAC) is to launch four weekly charter cargo flights from Miami International to the Caribbean on November 1.
They include twice-weekly roundtrip flights on a triangular route between Miami, San Juan and Saint Martin; a weekly flight between Miami and Santo Domingo; and a weekly triangular route between Miami, Port-au-Prince and Santo Domingo.
All services will be operated by a Boeing 737-300F.
Northern’s debut follows Canadian airline KF Cargo’s launch of a charter service from Miami to a number of points in South America in April. Also in November, US carrier 21 Air is scheduled to begin eight weekly roundtrip freighter flights to Latin America, with six weekly frequencies between Miami and Bogotá, and two weekly flights on a triangular route between Miami, Panama City and Guatemala City.
Miami-Dade aviation director Emilio González, said: “MIA’s vast route network across the globe, in addition to our evolving cargo logistics infrastructure, continues to attract freighter airlines from around the world.”
