DHL seeks CEIV status across the Americas

DHL’s Global Forwarding, arm is to certify a further seven of its 11 Americas stations to IATA’s CEIV Pharma Standard. It has already achieved CEIV status at Bogota, Colombia and the seven remaining stations – Atlanta, Chicago, Cincinnati, Los Angeles, Miami, Philadelphia and San Juan – are expected to follow by the end of the second quarter of 2017.
The CEIV Pharma Certification confirms service and quality standards for life sciences and healthcare customers.
US chief executive for DHL Global Forwarding, David Goldberg, said: “Through a targeted approach, we have selected stations in some of our key US hubs to undergo the rigorous audit certification process in order to further solidify our leadership position in these markets.”
DHL started to certify its global stations according to the IATA CEIV Pharma Standard in the third quarter of 2016.
It adds that its LifeTrack cloud-based IT platform offers more transparency compared with other offers for temperature-controlled transport, ensuring not only shipment tracking but also allowing round-the-clock  intervention.
At its Air Thermonet locations, DHL offers a wide-ranging product portfolio for time and temperature sensitive air freight shipments, along with the Medical Express fixed delivery time service and the DHL Clinical Trial Logistics logistics solution.
