EVA receives first new B777F

Taiwan’s EVA Air has taken delivery of its first Boeing B777 freighter.
The carrier intends to deploy the new freighter on routes linking its Asia network (which includes Shanghai Pudong, Shenzhen, Chongqing, Hong Kong, Osaka, Singapore, Bangkok, Penang and Hanoi) with destinations that it serves in North America (Los Angeles, San Francisco, Chicago, Dallas/Fort Worth and Atlanta) via a technical stop in Anchorage.
EVA ordered five B777Fs from Boeing in July 2015; the remaining four are scheduled for delivery by September 2019, with the carrier successively retiring its five B747-400Fs by the end of that year.
