GROUP7 starts work on new Frankfurt logistics centre

GROUP7 has started work on a new 25,500 sq m multi-user logistics centre close to Frankfurt Airport.
The new €27m centre will offer state-of-the-art technology, including driverless transport systems, 3D printers and scanning technology.
The site is in the immediate vicinity of the Frankfurter Kreuz – Europe’s largest traffic interection – and located directly on the Dreieck Mönchhof motorway.
GROUP7 managing director Günther Jocher said: "In addition to serving customers with highly volatile, seasonal products, we are increasingly focusing our attention on cross border e-commerce.
"The new centre will be our international freight hub and e-commerce hub. This new facility will perfectly reflects the required services of the business-to-business and business-to-consumer sectors and will be very attractive for customers coming from a wide variety of industrial sectors."
