Hellmann the latest to sign up with cargo.one

Hellmann Worldwide Logistics has become the latest company to launch a partnership with online airfreight booking portal cargo.one.
The forwarder said that cargo.one would enable it to book airfreight capacity fully digitally in real time, with live spot rates. Initially, Hellman will use the platform for bookings made in Germany, before rolling it out across its network.
The company said the tie-up "represents a progressive step towards greater transparency, efficiency and customer orientation".
Hellmann Worldwide Logistics chief operating officer air & sea Bart de Vries said: "With cargo.one, we will be able to compare capacities and prices even more transparently and quickly in the future and realise freight space at top rates for our customers. I am convinced that this will accelerate our processes and further optimise them for our customers."
Cargo.one co-founder Moritz Claussen added: "We are delighted to have convinced Hellmann, a leading and forward-looking global logistics group, of the advantages of the cargo.one- platform and our offering.
"For airlines, cargo.one offers an even more attractive distribution channel thanks to the cooperation with Hellmann Worldwide Logistics."
The two companies said they would work together to bring the capacities of other airlines onto the booking platform.
Hellmann is not the only freight forwarder to sign up to use the system – in September Dachser announced it would also use cargo.one.
On the carrier front, in July, Lufthansa Cargo announced it had signed up to offer its capacity through cargo.one, followed a few weeks later by virtual airline Leisure Cargo, which offers space on a host of low-cost and holiday airlines.
