Air France cargo traffic crashes

AIR France-KLM cargo revenues plummeted 41.5 per cent drop in this financial year’s first quarter.
Total revenue from cargo fell to €544m (US$744m) following a 22.7 per cent decline in traffic, a 17.2 per cent cut in capacity and a 25.1 per cent fall in yields.
However, the company remains optimistic. "Group sales, consistent with a trend seen in the January-March quarter, were in line with our expectations," it says.
"We are sticking with our projection of a more limited decline in sales in the second quarter and stability in the last two quarters and even a slight improvement at the end of the fiscal year compared with the second half of 2008-2009, itself already impacted by the crisis."
