AEI delivers B737-400SF to FarnAir Europe

AERONAUTICAL Engineers Inc (AEI) has delivered the first of four B737-400SF freighters to Switzerland-based integrator support airline FarnAir Europe.
The aircraft, a high gross weight version, was built in 1996, and converted at Commercial Jet’s Miami facility, which is one of five authorised AEI Conversion Centers worldwide.
It is AEI’s second delivery of an anticipated 30+ freighters due in 2014. For nearly 30 years, FarnAir Group has been supporting integrators, providing various aircraft types.
“The introduction of this new aircraft is another important step forward allowing us to support our customer growth in various locations around the world,” enthuses Guy Girard, chief executive of FarnAir in Europe.
“This is the first of four aircraft we have secured, while the rest will join our fleet in the coming months,” he adds.
“We have ambitious plans as we expect more aircraft joining us progressively from this year onwards. Our global footprint is growing and we are investing in our freighter fleet to meet capacity requirements and the future growth of our customers.
“With our fleet of freighters we can offer customers the flexibility and capability to move larger cargo volumes and operate more charter flights,” Girard adds.
