Finnair Cargo doubles cargo capacity to Vietnam

FINNAIR CARGO is increasing its services to Vietnam with new freighter capacity this summer.
From the end of this month, the carrier is adding a third weekly frequency on its Hanoi route, serviced by an MD11F.
In June, Finnair will augment its belly hold capacity by running passenger flights three times a week using an A340.
Its total freight capacity from Europe to Vietnam will double from 155 tonnes to 315 tonnes (270 tonnes carried by the MD11F), a statement says.
Juha Järvinen, managing director of Finnair Cargo, observes: “According to IATA’s forecast, Vietnam is the fastest growing cargo market in the world for the next five years, so being a leading European carrier to the Vietnamese capital is one of our focus areas. Finnair Cargo is looking forward to growth on the trade lanes between Europe and Vietnam.”
