Lufthansa Cargo upgrades Shanghai to B777F

LUFTHANSA CARGO has upgraded its Shanghai service to a B777F.
China’s largest city is to be served with daily flights of the new freighter.
Christian Haug, regional director, north and central China, enthuses: “We are strengthening our position in China considerably through the use of the best freighter in its class.”
Shanghai is the European cargo airline’s largest freighter station in its global network.
With the arrival of its third triple-seven, the carrier’s fleet is now big enough to promote such long-haul destinations, a statement says.
As a sign of traditional ties the carrier has with China, the B777F was christened ‘Ni Hao, China’ (goodday, China) on arrival.
The name is the winning entry in a public competition held by Lufthansa Cargo to find a naming convention for its entire fleet in advance of the arrival of the B777Fs last year.
