Fraport’s airfreight rises

FRANKFURT AIRPORT is celebrating a cargo uptick after its throughput (airfreight and airmail) rose by 3.2 per cent to 179,555 tonnes in August – up 3.2 per cent compared with the same month last year, writes Thelma Etim, deputy editor. 
Aircraft movements also climbed by 0.6 per cent to 42,684 takeoffs and landings, says a company statement.
